Another soon to be summer day

Wow it is so beautiful outside!! The sun is shining, it is 82 degrees and the air conditioning is running.
I love to be out in the hot sun playing with the kids and then some in to my nice air-conditioned house! There is nothing quite like it.
Today was a busy day. I went to my sister's house to help her do her hair for a wedding she is attending today. Then I came home and put Zach down for a nap. While he was napping, I took Sam swimming. He loves it. We only stayed about 30 minutes, but it was still a good time.
After Zach woke up from nap, he had lunch and I took him back to the urgent care. We had a trip there Wednesday night for a fever and he ended up with a double ear infection. They gave him an antibiotic and last night he started to get a rash. Thismorning he woke up and was covered from head to toe with the rash!! I was nervous that it was an allergic reaction to the meds. It turns out that it was just a rash from the virus (cold) he had. The doc said that sometimes when a child gets over a virus they will develop a rash. So he will keep taking the meds for the ears and soon he will be all better and can go swimming too!!
Mia spent the past couple nights with Grandma and Grandpa. She loves to be over there. She will get to go swimming next weekend too!

Summer is almost here...

With summer comes hot days, thunderstorms, fun at the park, picnics, and our favorite - swimming!! Our pool opens this weekend and we can not wait. We have new swimsuits, sunscreen, floaties, and pool toys for the opening day. It will be Zach's first time swimming. I can't wait to see how he likes it!!

Finally moved in

So we moved. It was hard work, despite hiring movers to move most of the stuff. There is always a few things you dont trust the movers to take or you just would rather move yourself. So we took those things. It was about 6 carloads full. We are on the third floor so it feels worse than just bringing in one flight of stairs.
I am all unpacked and 99% of things are where I want them. I still have a stack of boxes Anthony needs to take down to storage, but that wont happen until the weekend again.
The kids are loving the new place. There is a playground right outside our building and a swiming pool across the parking lot. There is a ton of kids to play with mine. The good thing is they are all in varying ages so there are some friends for everyone!! Mia even met another little girl named Mia that wears glasses too. They both thought that was the coolest thing. It was adorable!!

5 days til move day!!

We are all getting more and more excited! We have most of our stuff packed and the rest will be done in a few days. After that we have to get all the computer and TV stuff unplugged and moved over. We will do that Friday. The movers will be here to move the rest of our things to our new apartment. Then comes the unpacking.
I love unpacking because I can re-organize everything and find new homes for all of our things. I am excited to see how great our place will be.

Moving time is coming closer and closer. It is 11 days away today. I am excited and can't wait for it to happen. I hate the chaos of moving.
On a positive side - it is like spring cleaning in a way. I go through and organize everything. I clean out cabinets and things in cabinets. It is a good part of moving.
The kids are excited because there is a very nice playground at the new apartments. There is also a great swimming pool. There are plenty of other children so they will make a ton of new friends. It will be nice.
Well, I better get off to packing - only 10 more packing days!!
